Can
I bring alcohol on board?
As the Skipper I am not permitted alcohol whilst
on board. However, I don't mind if you fancy a
can of beer... just stay in complete control at all
times, thus ensuring passenger safety and happiness.
Do you offer angling holidays?
An angling holiday is usually of 5 days duration
from Monday thru Friday, but other shorter options are
available. Accommodation ranging from caravan to
self catering cottages or B & B can be recommended.
Weekend Breaks - Come down either Friday
evening or Saturday morning, have two days fishing and
finish in good time to return home ready for work on
Monday.
What type of fishing do you offer?
Over 20 years successful chartering has given us a
good idea of what you; our customers want, what can be
caught and when.
Reef fishing - We are fortunate in having Kilve,
St. Audries, Doniford and Dunster all within 4 miles
of Watchet. Generally it is from these inshore
reefs that our winter cod fishing takes place. We
always anchor and would recommend fishing uptide.
Mudflats/Sandbanks - The extensive Blue Anchor
Bay mud flats offer some fantastic ray fishing.
During the summer months the sand banks off Minehead,
Selworthy, Lynmouth, Woody Bay and The Nash can
produce truly excellent sport with numerous species
regularly boated. Lighter tackle is recommended
for best results.
Off shore reefs and gullies - Visited during
the summer months when weather permits. Fished
at anchor for, amongst others, large tope, smoothound,
conger eels, bull huss, rays, cod, etc.
Inshore around the rocks - Whether at anchor or
drifting species such as pollack, mackerel, rockling,
wrasse, gurnard, bass and bull huss can be taken
amongst the rocks between Porlock and Ilfracombe.
